May 22-28, 2006:
Sarina visited the Bay Area a few days ago. She and Debbie traveled all over the place while Bob worked, including going to Sausalito (by way of ferry), Golden Gate Park, and various museums. Bob was able to join them to see the opening night performance of Hamlet at Shakespeare at Stinson Beach. Here are some pictures from Debbie and Sarina's travels:

April 23, 2006:
On April 23, Mary Lee and Charlie went to Mary Lee's 50th high school reunion in West Columbia, Texas. The reunion weekend coincided with the San Jacinto Day festival, and the class of '56 had a float in the parade. Mary Lee rode on the float, and Charlie rode "shotgun" in the pickup truck that pulled the float in the parade. There was a good turnout for the reunion, and people had fun.
On the same trip, Mary Lee and Charlie visited Linn, Glen and Maggie. Below is a picture of everyone except Glen (he had to work) at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

Mary Lee entered the personal computer age today with the purchase of a new Intel Mac laptop. In the picture above, she is having her first video chat with Linn (Maggie was camera shy).

Debbie experienced her first earthquake this afternoon. It was a "minor" earthquake, of 3.7 magnitude, centered 8 miles away, near Moraga, at 1:40 p.m. She thought something fell upstairs, then heard the ceiling creak. When she got up from her chair to investigate, it felt like the floor was rolling. She said it kind of felt like being on a carnival ride after having had a few drinks--not pleasant. Bob did not feel it in downtown S.F. You can check on recent earthquakes in California and Nevada at this website.

Charlie and Mary Lee returned safely from their trip to Chile today. They brought back wine and liquor, but have not yet shared it. Pictures will be coming soon, depending on the extent of my technical abilities.

Chico's "parents" are in Chile, so he is home alone with his "brother" and "sister-in-law," who are watching him. This means he gets fewer walks and table scraps.
